A reflection of the moon glares at me.
The moon and ocean know my crime...
It was here that I committed my crime.
The innocent child's laugh echoes.
Though I am the only one who hears.
Her voice is unbearable...
I drowned that little girl.
I crushed her hopes and dreams.
Under the moon, I drowned her.
The moon and ocean have not forgiven me.
I see beautiful pebbles here.
She gathered so many pebbles...
I stare at this pebble.
The memories are unbearable.
I drowned that little girl.
I crushed her hopes and dreams.

Under the moon, by the sea
I confess my crime.
"Forgive me"

OK, this one is a METAPHOR. A METAPHOR. Alright? The meaning is NOT the murder of a child. Allow me to explain: Remember how, when you were little, you had these impossible dreams? *I wanted to be a goddamn knight in shining armor saving damsels in distress XD* Sometimes it was about princes and princesses, sometimes about being a hero. Fun times, right? But then... you grow up. (And if you don't grow up, I seriously envy you.) And those hopes and dreams are crushed. In our society, we are expected to leave them behind. But me? I feel guilty. I miss that little girl who ran around collecting rocks and trying to save princesses. I'd very much like to be her again. And I have not ever been able to forgive myself for growing up and leaving her behind.
tl;dr: The whole song is a metaphor for growing up and leaving your childhood behind too soon. (Also, I need title help, and opinions on whether or not it should go on Diluvium.)
IMPORTANT: Even though this is a METAPHOR, should I put a filter on it???? I mean, it IS disturbing, but I don't know that it really contains mature content. Please give me your opinion on that. I think my tolerance level for this sort of thing is... not as low as expected.
