Rain, Won't You Save Me?

I covered my eyes.
"I won't, I won't listen."

All alone, in the rain.
I crouched, quietly.
The rain continued falling.
It's so cold, but I won't move.

All the screams, all the screams,
I can still hear them.
The rain, the rain, the pouring rain
It cannot drown them out.

All alone, like always.
I sobbed gently.
The rain fell harder and faster.
I'm soaked to the bone, but I won't move.

All the tears, all the tears,
I can still see them.
The rain, the rain, the friendly rain,
It cannot wash it away.

I cannot escape the sounds.
The angry, grating sounds.
I cover my ears
But I can still hear them.

All the pain, all the pain,
I can still feel it.
The rain, the rain, the cleansing rain,
It cannot heal me.

I covered my eyes. And I screamed.
